Gentilléens. Gentilléennes
Gentilly (94)A small apartment building that closes the heart of the block and gathers five plots around a shared garden.

The project starts from a question of the whole: how to fit rental housing and the owners' living environment onto five adjoining plots on avenue Pasteur, without one taking precedence over the other.
The answer lies in three moves. The existing garden is enlarged and becomes a true heart of the block, closed off by a new built form on the street. On one of the plots, a small building of seven apartments, from studios to two-bedroom units, connects to the neighbouring building and shares its common rooms and parking. Finally, circulation is redesigned at the scale of all five plots: shared open spaces, pooled parking and the same entrances for owners and tenants.
The house extension completed in 2019 on the same avenue completes the ensemble.
